Freelance Web Development (2003-2005)
Rydia.net
Designed with absolutely no tables or frames in the primary layout, partially as a study of cascading style sheets and server side includes. The HTML was then adapted into sectioned templates for easy updating and automatic page generation. Graphics and advertisement banners were also by me. Mass-tested in various versions of multiple browsers, including Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Netscape.

Crest Tenants Association
My favorite example of adaptability. Our building in NYC formed a tenants association due to some trouble with move-ins and management, and I became the webmaster and legal secretary of the association. Our website and our member body became a force to be reckoned with, as told by Curbed.com and the New York Times.

DOekaki:
A free script used to create personal online art forums called Oekaki boards. I had to make sure the layout code was easily understood, as one of the biggest features allowed users to change any part of the style and design via defined templates, which the user could access via an administration panel. I created the default board layout and am also in charge of downloadable thematic updates in the future. I also created the software demonstration page and co-wrote the documentation.

Aristeia:
An artistically freeform web layout and code designed for my personal webpage use. My most important goal was to make this site visually appealing AND extremely optimized in both graphics and code. Again, the page is designed using CSS and SSI, without tables or frames; all images are optimized PNGs; the art gallery is run by a simple script to minimize page loads; additionally, the site has been put through the same level of browser testing as Rydia.net.

Morgan's Canon:
A "fun" website layout designed for a New York City band. Uses IFRAMES to display content in the center window. All graphics and design were courtsey of myself, including the picture of the girl and the band logo. I later joined the band as well. ^_- The greatest challenge for this website was the time limit - I only had a few days to deliver, and had to work on their office computer with limited resources.

The Art Corner:
A large art community website that was designed by 10+ collaborators, led by myself. The primary purpose of this site was to run a fully automated system by which artists could upload and submit their work to a panel of critiquers, who would then comment on the piece and publish it to the web. This site also runs a customized version of the DOekaki art board.
